Permitted Materials

Disposable plastic bags are not allowed to enter the facility. Tree root balls/stumps are not accepted.

The facility accepts tree debris and yard waste. Please sort your loads into the following categories:

  • Yard Waste (leaves, vegetation, and grasses)
  • Sticks and Small Branches
  • Larger Tree Limbs and Tree Trunks

The Street Division processes some of the yard waste materials into compost. There is a charge for all materials coming in and compost going out. When available, both firewood (cut-your-own at your risk) and mulch (wood chips) are free of charge.

The local landfill does not accept trees, branches, leaves, brush, or yard and garden waste for disposal. These items should be brought to the Compost Facility.
