Riverview Park Campground is currently closed for the season.

Going to a NASCAR race in Newton June 14-16?
Marshalltown is 34 miles/45 minutes from Newton. We understand there will be a large NASCAR race in Newton the 3rd weekend of June. Our campground has no capacity for reservations. Our campsites are each first come, first serve, however, with our shower house, 10 full hookup sites, 60 electric sites, water to fill units and a dump station at the end of the block, and many non-electric sites, we want to welcome everyone to Marshalltown and hope you will enjoy our campground. If concerned of first come, first serve space, we encourage campers to arrive early.
Campground Features
The Riverview Park Campground is located on the north edge of Marshalltown along Highway 14 adjacent to the Iowa River within Riverview Park at 402 Woodland Street. The Campground has space to accommodate large RVs with drive through sites, as well as tents. Ten full hookup sites (including water, sewer and electricity); 30 electrical hookup sites (50 amp, 30 amp, 20 amp); 17 camper parking pads; two water hydrants, shower house with hot water and flush toilets; dump station; two open-air picnic shelters; fire rings and mature trees. Contact the campground host for the shower house and restroom codes and assistance to verify available sites. Campground is open annually as weather permits, mid-April through the end of October.
14-Day Limit of Stay
City ordinance limits stay to seven nights and an extension of seven additional nights may be granted, up to 14 consecutive nights. After a maximum of 14 consecutive nights of stay, campers must exit the campground for a minimum of twenty-four hours before ability to return.
Cost
- Full hookups sites - $30 per night (10 sites: 21A, 21B, 25A, 25B, 26A, 26B, 27A, 27B, 31A, 31B)
- Electric sites - 30 & 50 amp - $25 per night (60 sites)
- Non-Electric / Tent sites - $20 per night
- Wood bundle - $5 each
-Sites are available on a first-come first-serve basis - no reservations are available.
-A self-registration kiosk is located by the shower house with envelopes and deposit box.
-Within an hour of arrival, all campers are asked to complete a registration envelope and pay fee.
-Visibly post the receipt of payment on camping unit, tent or vehicle.
-See campground host for site availability, firewood, shower house and restroom codes or other assistance.
-Campground checkout time is 4:00 p.m. to avoid an additional night fee
-A dump station is located at the East end of Woodland Street at no charge.
Riverview Campground Open-Air Shelter Use
1. Open air shelters in the campground are reserved on a first come first serve basis by contacting the campground host.
2. All non-camping guest must park vehicles outside the campground.
3. Tables must remain at the campsite, not moved from site to site.
4. Shelter area trash/garbage must be disposed of properly in a trash dumpster.
Additional Features within Riverview Park
Riverview Park features three enclosed rentable buildings; three open-air shelters; playground areas; tennis courts; basketball court; 18-hole disc golf course; a dog park; three tree sculptures; beautiful flower gardens and three enclosed buildings available for rental. Riverview Park is an access to the hard-surfaced Linn Creek Recreational Trail, which continues eight miles west to the Grimes Farm Nature Trail as well as connects to the Iowa River's Edge Trail heading northwest toward Albion.
