The City of Marshalltown is seeking a volunteer to serve on the Housing Advisory Board. The applicant must be an Architect/Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in their respective field. Members appointed by the Mayor serve for an indefinite period of time. Duties of the Housing Advisory Board include holding hearings when necessary and issue recommendations to the City Council, provide a written report of activities to the City Council, adopt such rules and regulations as may be necessary to expedite and effectuate the provisions of the Housing Code, grant variances to the Housing Code, and annually elect a chair to serve as the presiding officer.
