Beginning Thursday, June 12th, 2025, additional progress will commence downtown. Alternates 1 and 2 of the Downtown E Main & Center St Reconstruction Project will begin. These alternates are partnerships with the Marshalltown Community School District and Marshalltown Water Works which will improve the Welcome Center Parking Lot and alley north of parking lot to MWW. This work is estimated to be complete at the end of July, weather permitting.
Impacts to traffic will include closure of the alley and, at times, a reduced lane on Hwy 14.
The parking lot at 225 E Main, owned by the Marshalltown Area Chamber of Commerce, will be open and available to the public during this work.
