Aquatic Center

The Marshalltown Family Aquatic Center is a part of the Marshalltown Parks and Recreation Department. Contact the Parks and Recreation office for additional information 641-754-5715.

2019 Dates & Times

  • First Open Swim Day: Saturday, May 25, 2019
            (Weekends until Marshalltown School ends June 7, 2019)
            (See Open Swim Schedule below)
  • Final Open Swim Day: Sunday, August 25, 2019
  • Doggie Dip: Monday & Tuesday, August 26 & 27, 2019
    • 5:30 to 6:30 pm for dogs 25 pounds or less
    • 6:45 to 7:45 pm for dogs 26 pounds or more

Saturday & Sunday 1:00 - 6:00 pm
Open Swim Adapted Hours:
August 12 - 16 & 19 - 23        1:00 - 4:00 pm            Cost: $3
(Children under age 9 must be actively supervised in the water by someone age 15 or older.)

Water Walking / Lap Swim Schedule

May 25 - August 25
11:30 am - 12:30 pm daily & 7:30 - 8:30 pm Monday - Friday
(No 11:30 am water walking/lap swim June 5th, 6th & 7th due to rentals.)
(No 7:30pm water walking/lap swim June 13, July 11th, August 8th due to Splash Dances.)
Additional Water Walking & Lap Swim Hours:
May 28 - 31 & June 3 & 4      2:30 - 3:30 pm
August 12 - 16 & 19 - 23        4:30 - 5:30 pm

Guidelines for Supervision & Swim Attire

Children under age 9 must be actively supervised in the water by someone age 15 or older in the water. Proper Swim Attire guidelines will be enforced
