Due to a resignation, there is a vacancy on the Library Board of Trustees. The Marshalltown Public Library Board of Trustees consists of six city and one rural Marshall County residents, serving six year terms. The Board sets library policy, establishes an annual budget, approves all expenditures, and supervises the library director. The Board has charge, control and supervision of the Public Library, its appurtenances, fixtures and rooms containing the same. The Board of Trustees directs and controls all the affairs of the Library. The Board holds monthly meetings open to the public on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 4:30pm in Community Meeting Room A.
