Two big events are occurring in downtown Marshalltown this weekend, resulting in street and parking lot closures for Friday starting at 1pm through Saturday at 7pm.  

Starting at 1pm on Friday, July 19^th, Main Street will be closed from Center Street to 2^nd Avenue and will remain closed until 7pm on Saturday, July 20^th. This includes all intersections and on-street parking in the area as well. Also, 1^st Avenue and 2^nd Avenue will be closed between Main and Church Streets during the same time period. Parking Lot O, located off of 2^nd Avenue will also be closed starting at 1pm on Friday and closed through Saturday.

PUBLIC/EVENT PARKING

Those coming downtown and/or attending either the event to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the tornado or the Marshalltown Art Festival are encouraged to park in a number of public parking lots located within 2-3 blocks of Main Street, including the following:

· Parking Lot J- State Street behind City Center Building

· Parking Lot T- State/Center Street across from City Hall

· Parking Lot A- 12 West State Street

· Parking Lot Z- Cartwright Pavilion at 2^nd Avenue/State Street

· Parking Lot N- 300 Block of West Main Street

· Parking Lots W/P- 1^st Avenue and Church Streets

· Parking Lot H- Church and 1^st Streets
