IRS SCAM ALERT - Attention residents, we have received multiple calls this week about IRS scam calls. This phone scam targets taxpayers telling victims they owe money to the IRS and it must be paid promptly through a gift card or wire transfer or they are threatened with arrest, deportation or suspension of a business or driver's license. As long as you have not given out any personal information you do not need to contact police. This is a very well known scam that circulates often. Don't become a victim, hang up on these callers.
