On June 18, 2022, at approximately 3:56am, a concerned citizen reported a possible burglary to a building in the 700 Block of South 3rd Avenue. As officers responded to the report, five juvenile males and one adult male were located in the area. In completing their investigation of the reported break-in, it was determined that the six males located near the scene were responsible for causing approximately $33,217.83 in damages to the building and vehicles located on the property.
Officers arrested Alexis Christian Fernandez-Ibarra, 18 years old, Marshalltown, Iowa on the following charges:
- Criminal Mischief in the 1st Degree (Class "C" Felony)
- Burglary in the 3rd Degree (Class "D" Felony)
- Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor (Simple Misdemeanor)

Mr. Fernandez-Ibarra was taken to the Marshall County Jail.
Officers also arrested: Five, 16-year-old, juvenile males. All juvenile males receive the following charges:
- Criminal Mischief in the 1st Degree (Class "C" Felony)
- Burglary in the 3rd Degree (Class "D" Felony)
All juvenile males were transported to a juvenile detention center.
