The Marshalltown Police Department and the Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA will once again be hosting the 2018 Kids Safety Camp on Friday, June 8, 2018. This event will take place at the YMCA-YWCA campus. This one-day event is for kids currently in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades in the 2017-2018 school year. Along with fun and games, kids will have break-out sessions in the areas of fire safety, water safety, farm safety, and electrical safety. Kids will be split into teams for this fun and informative day. An obstacle course and super slide inflatables will be set up for kids and adults as well. The day will conclude with a K-9 demo from the Marshalltown Police Department.
Registration will be held at the Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA, 108 Washington Street beginning April 16, 2018. You can register in person, by mail, or online to Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA. There will be a limit of 100 kids for this event. A $10 registration fee will cover the cost of lunch, snacks, beverages, and any other items they may receive. In addition, everyone will receive a Camp T-shirt, a certificate, and a team photo. Kids will need to bring their swimsuit and towel for the water safety/swimming part of the day. Deadline for registration is Wednesday, May 23, 2018.
Registration forms will be available at the Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA and will also be dropped off at the schools for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders.
