[ARCHIVED] Marshalltown Police Department Investigates Overnight Shooting Incident

On Friday, April 13, 2018, at approximately 11:47 pm, public safety personnel were dispatched to the 700 block of East Anson Street to investigate a complaint of gunshots.  Upon arrival, and following a preliminary investigation, officers determined that an altercation had occurred in the 700 block of May Street between several individuals.  During this altercation, a suspect displayed, and ultimately fired, multiple gunshots.  Two male, juveniles (both age 17) were wounded during this incident.  Both victims suffered what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.


On Saturday, April 14, at 5:54 am, the Marshalltown Police Department executed a search warrant in the 800 block of East Anson Street.  During this search warrant execution, two persons of interest in this investigation were located and taken into custody without incident.  The investigation of this incident is ongoing.  Two adult males have been arrested in connection with this investigation.  Both of these individuals have been taken to the Marshall County Jail where they will be held pending an initial court appearance.
