Not again?
The social security scam is making the rounds in our community. If you receive a call about your social security number being suspended, or the caller tells you there is a problem with your number, just hang up the phone. Do not press one. Do not call them back. Do not give out personal information. Do not give them the time of the day. These are common scams.
Watch out for fake calls, texts, and emails. Scammers will pretend to be government employees and they may threaten you and may demand information or immediate payments from you to avoid arrest or legal action. Do not let them scare you. Do not let them fool you.

Check out this website for helpful information about these common fraud attempts.
