The bridge on Center Street over Linn Creek will be closed so that crews may make repairs to the South abutment, beginning Monday, March 19th at 9:00 a.m. In October of 2017 crews closed the Linn Creek bridge to make planned repairs to the north and south abutment. Upon construction commencing the engineering department discovered additional repairs were necessary at the north abutment. By the time the repairs to the north abutment were made, winter weather was upon us. As such, crews will close the bridge again in March to make the planned repairs to the south abutment. The bridge will be closed for two weeks, or longer, weather and condition dependent. Jasper Construction, from Newton, Iowa is the contractor.
