[ARCHIVED] Marshalltown Cooling Station Announcement

A cooling station will be open in Marshalltown on Friday, August 14, from 2:00 pm-6:00 pm. The cooling station will be open at the Salvation Army Headquarters building located at 107 West State Street. The cooling station is not a shelter. It will close promptly at 6:00 pm. The cooling station will be available at the same location on Saturday, August 15, from 10:00 am-6:00 pm.

Water will be available.

Due to COVID-19 social distancing requirements, there is limited capacity. Please wear a face covering. Please do not come if you have COVID-19 symptoms.

There is not a special bus route for the cooling station but normal city bus routes are available.
