On Thursday, June 13, 2019, at approximately 4:15 a.m., a caller reported that a subject had driven by him in a vehicle and shot at him with a pistol. No injuries were reported. During their investigation, Officers determined that the incident happened in the 300 block of North 4th Ave in Marshalltown. Officers located evidence of the offense at the scene. Officers then located the suspect vehicle at the residence of the suspect. A subsequent search warrant was conducted and additional evidence was located.
Two suspects were charged with the following in connection with the incident and search warrant:
Jeremy Lynn Lavender (Age 33, Male) Marshalltown
Attempted Murder, Class B Felony
Going Armed With Intent, Class D Felony
Reckless Use Of A Firearm, Simple Misdemeanor
Dominion or Control Of A Firearm By A Felon, Class D Felony
4 Counts Of Child Endangerment, Aggravated Misdemeanors
Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Simple Misdemeanor
Stevie Rae Lavender (Age 30, Female) Marshalltown
4 Counts Of Child Endangerment, Aggravated Misdemeanors
Accessory After The Fact, Aggravated Misdemeanor
Interference With Official Acts, Simple Misdemeanor
Jeremy Lynn Lavender and Stevie Ray Lavender were taken to the Marshall County Jail.
