The City of Marshalltown is excited to offer a Tool Lending Program to the residents of Marshalltown. Tools may be checked out for use with a $25 reimbursable deposit.
The following tools are available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Parks & Recreation Office, 10 West Main Street, Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.

- Gloves
- Hand Pruner
- Hand Saw
- Hedge Trimmer
- Lawn Rake
- Pruning Saw, 10"
- Tree Loppers
- Yard Waste Bag
A gas-powered lawn mower is available for check out at the Compost Facility, 900 Woodland Street, Friday 10 am - 6 pm (5 pm after daylight savings 11/3), Saturday, 9 am - 4 pm, Sunday 12 pm - 4 pm. A $25 reimbursable deposit is required. The mower must be returned by the end of the next regular business day filled with regular unleaded fuel.
Residents must complete the Tool Share Lending Agreement with a $25 deposit (cash or check) that will be returned once the tools are returned. For a copy of this agreement please visit our website https://www.marshalltown-ia.gov/812/Tool-Lending-Program.
