[ARCHIVED] UPDATE - UP Railroad Crossing Closures @ 6th St & 12th St Crossings (07/20/24-07/22/24)

Railroad Closure

07/19/24 8:45 AM Update. The UP railroad got delayed, they will now wait until approximately 6 AM tomorrow (Sat 07/20) to start the closure. They are still anticipated to open it back up Monday evening. Thanks!

The UP Railroad has notified the City of Marshalltown of their intent to temporarily close the at grade railroad crossings at both the S 6th St & S 12th St crossing for repairs.

The UP indicates the closures should start at ~~8 AM on Friday, July 19th, 2024~~ 6 AM on Saturday, July 20th and last thru the evening on Monday, July 22nd, 2024.

Issued by Marshalltown Public Works on behalf of Advanced Work Zone Services, performing work for the UP Railroad.
