News Release: 07/15/24
Released By: Joel Greer, Mayor
At a Special City Council meeting held on Thursday, July 11th, the Marshalltown City Council unanimously approved an employment agreement and the appointment of Carol Webb to serve as the new City Administrator. Carol brings over 25 years of leadership, management, and experience in the public sector, most recently serving as the current City Administrator in Muscatine, Iowa.
Mayor Joel Greer stated, "Carol was the unanimous choice of staff and city councilors alike, a rare occurrence! But her resume and personal interview convinced all of us that she will be the perfect fit for Marshalltown. All of us are excited to have her start, and I, for one, would like to apologize to Muscatine for hiring away from there, with the explanation that she grew up on a farm straight south of here (Ottumwa) and has family closer to central Iowa."
Carol will start her role with the City of Marshalltown on Tuesday, September 3rd.
