On Thursday, April 11, 2024, the Marshalltown Police Department arrested Marco Antonio Tapia, age 27, of Marshalltown. Mr. Tapia has been charged with:
- Sexual Abuse – 3rd Degree (Class C Felony)
This arrest was made in connection with a sexual abuse crime that was reported to law enforcement on August 6, 2023, involving an adult victim. Following his arrest, Mr. Tapia was taken to the Marshall County Jail and remains in custody.
(A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.)
