On Monday, January 1, 2024, at 7:57am, the Marshalltown Police Department responded to the 400 block of North 1st Street after receiving reports about a man attempting to enter private residences in this area. Upon further investigation, officers learned the man entered a residence in the 100 block of West Lincoln Street and assaulted an 18-year-old woman by forcibly trying to remove her clothing as she was asleep on her couch.
Kasmino Moses, age 27, of Marshalltown was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail. Mr. Moses has been charged with:
- Assault with/Intent to Commit Sex Abuse
- Burglary – 2nd Degree
- Public Intoxication

The Marshalltown Police Department was assisted by the Marshall County 911 Communications Center during this incident.
