THIS IS ONLY A TEST
The Marshalltown Public Works department has declared a snow emergency for Marshalltown. The snow ordinance will go into effect today (Friday, November 17th, 2023) at 1:00pm.
Snow ordinance parking restrictions will remain in effect until the snow emergency is lifted. Please do not park on the Emergency Snow Routes until an official announcement goes out lifting the parking restrictions, even if the snowplow has gone by.
Please remove vehicles from the designated "Emergency Snow Routes" and "No Parking during snow removal operations" blocks prior to the snow ordinance going into effect in order to help facilitate snow removal operations. The Marshalltown Police Department will ticket and tow vehicles found parked on these routes. Vehicles towed are at the owner’s expense.
