The City of Marshalltown will be conducting a test of our snow emergency alert & notification system on Friday, November 17th, 2023 @ 1:00 PM so the public has an opportunity to confirm they are signed up to receive notifications.
The public can sign up on our website: www.marshalltown-ia.gov by clicking “Notify Me”, entering (and validating) an email address, and then selecting which notifications (email or text) you’d like to receive from the city.
Snow alerts will be pushed out through the following lists:
- Alert Center - Snow Ordinance
- News Flash - Home-City News
- News Flash - Police Department
- News Flash - Public Works
Why should you sign up? We don't want you to get towed. The City issues Snow Emergency Alerts when we enforce no parking on both Emergency Snow Routes and blocks that are designated, "Parking Prohibited during Snow Removal Operations."
