On Saturday, June 30, 2018, at 3:38 am, an officer with the Marshalltown Police Department was on patrol in the 200 block of West Linn Street when he was flagged down by two individuals. They informed the officer that a male subject with a handgun had just walked into their home threatened them and then fled in a vehicle.
The victims provided a description of the male suspect and vehicle. Officers began to search the area. Another officer located the suspect vehicle a short time later occupied by two females and one male that matched the description of the suspect in this investigation.
Darwin Quinones-Gonzalez, age 35, of Marshalltown, was taken into custody after being identified as the suspect with the handgun.
Quinones-Gonzalez was arrested on the following charges and transported to the Marshall County Jail pending his initial appearance in court this morning at 8:30am
1. Burglary 1st Degree a Class B Felony
2. Possession of a Firearm as a Felon a Class D Felony
3. Carrying Weapons a Class D Felony
