On Thursday, July 6, at 8:10am, the Marshalltown Police Department responded to the Marshalltown Aquatic Center located at 302 Washington Street to investigate a burglary and theft complaint. Entry had been made forcibly into the aquatic center and property valued under $100.00 was stolen. Following an investigation, three juvenile males (ages 12, 11 and 9) were taken into custody and referred to juvenile authorities on the criminal charge of burglary in the third degree. Information gathered during this investigation on July 6 indicates two of the juvenile males (ages 11 and 9) committed a similar crime at the aquatic center on or about July 1. These investigations continue.
