On Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 1200 – 4:00 pm, the Marshalltown Police Department and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a Child Car Seat Safety Event in the parking lot of Fareway, 102 West Anson St. The purpose of this event is to help reduce the incidence of improper installation of car seats. Certified car seat safety technicians will provide a free evaluation to ensure proper use, installation and compliance with Iowa law of a child seat.
New seats will be available if replacement is required. New seats were purchased with money donated by Al Hoop in memory of his wife, Donna Hoop, who was an advocate of child safety. In addition, money was donated by the Mid-Iowa Regional Board of Realtors for the purchase of car seats. Photo identification is required. Child must be present in vehicle. Please bring owner’s manual and car seat owner’s manual for reference.
