On Monday, May 16, 2022, at 1:20am, the Marshalltown Police Department responded to Unity Point hospital after Andrew Nickolas Simmons, age 41, of Marshalltown, presented at the hospital with a stab wound. The victim's injury is not believed to be life-threatening. Shane Dean Rose, age 44, of Marshalltown was arrested on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 3:30pm. Rose was arrested without incident at a private residence in the 3200 block of South 12th Street in Marshalltown.
Rose is being charged with:
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- No Valid Driver's License
- Willful Injury - Causing Serious Injury
- Going Armed with Intent
