[ARCHIVED] Marshalltown Police Department Investigates Stabbing

On Monday, May 16, 2022, at 1:20am, the Marshalltown Police Department responded to Unity Point hospital after a 41 year old, Marshalltown man presented at the hospital with a stab wound. The victim's injury is not believed to be life-threatening. The police department continues to investigate this incident. This was not a random crime. The preliminary investigation has revealed the victim and potential suspect are acquainted with each other. There is no immediate danger to the general public connected with this incident.

The names of the involved parties are not being released at this time due to the on-going nature of this criminal investigation.
