[ARCHIVED] Marshalltown HyVee Donates $10,000 to Coliseum

HyVee Donation

By rounding up and using local charitable funds, HyVee Manager Ric Anderson and HyVee Drugstore Manager Brandon Euler, were able to put together $10,000 as a contribution to the renovation of the Veterans Memorial Coliseum, becoming the newest Medal of Honor donor.  They presented the Fundraising Committee with a check on Monday evening.  "A special thanks needs to go out to Ric and Brandon for helping us make a huge step forward in fundraising," Fundraising Co-Chair Vic Hellberg stated.  And he is correct.  The contribution from HyVee has pushed the total raised to just over $973,000, which is closer to the goal of $1.35 million.

Donations are still being accepted for the renovation project.  You can donate online at or by sending a check to the Veterans Memorial Coliseum Fund, 24 North Center Street, Marshalltown, Iowa  50158.
