[ARCHIVED] Ann C. Keyser Trust Increases Pledge to $100,000 for Coliseum Renovation

Coliseum

In late June, the Fundraising Committee for the Renovation of the Veterans Memorial Coliseum celebrated a $25,000 pledge from the Ann C. Keyser Trust.  Just a few weeks later, the Keyser Trust has increased that pledge to $100,000, which makes the Keyser Trust one of the top contributors to the project so far.  "This was a very big surprise; it's not every day a very large donor turns around and increases their donation," Jessica Kinser, City Administrator, commented.  "It is wonderful to know that others see how valuable of an asset the Veterans Memorial Coliseum is to our community and are willing to help to complete the project."

Fundraising Committee member Kelli Thurston is especially proud of this contribution.  "This donation is near to my heart because Ann C. Keyser was my husband's great aunt. I am thrilled that the Ann Keyser Trust has expanded their gift to the Coliseum renovation! This generous increase will help us reach our end goal of $1.35 million."

Fundraising efforts continue to raise $1.35 million for a $3.6 million renovation.  You can learn more or contribute by visiting www.mtowncoliseum.com or sending checks to the Veterans Memorial Coliseum Fund, 24 North Center Street, Marshalltown, IA  50158.
