JBS is the newest member of the Medal of Honor contributors for the renovation of the Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Members of the Fundraising Committee met with JBS Plant Manager Todd Carl and Bob Krebs, Vice President of Operations- JBS Pork, to receive the $10,000 contribution. "JBS
was impacted by the tragedy of last year's tornado, and is committed to show
our pride in our people and community for overcoming this disaster," Todd Carl said. "We hope
that this $10,000 donation, coming from the JBS Employee Tornado Relief Fund,
will help in the rebuild and growth of our community. The new and improved
Memorial Coliseum will be a staple in Marshalltown for generations to come, and
we're humbled to have played a role in it."
Fundraising Committee Member Kelli Thurston echoed Carl's comment. "I'm so glad JBS recovered from the tornado and keeps making improvements at their facility while still being concerned with the rebuilding and recovery throughout the city." Vic Hellberg, Fundraising Committee Co-Chair, noted JBS's continued commitment to the community with this donation. "I am so proud of JBS and how they contribute to our community over and over."
