K9 Timber Returns from Training

Timber

The Marshalltown Police Department is proud to announce the successful completion of the 12-week Basic K9 School by Officer Ross Wolken and K9 partner, Timber.  The pair hit the streets today for the first time.

The program included obedience training, tracking, searching, evidence recovery, scent detection, and criminal apprehension.  During training, they completed certifications in patrol work and narcotics detection.

Officer Wolken and K9 Timber earned the “Top Dog” award in their class.  This award is given to the K9 team that performs the best in a final competition among all K9 teams in the class.

Please join us in congratulating Officer Wolken and K9 Timber on a job well done.  We are excited to have them back and protecting our community.
