This is a free event! The Live Healthy Iowa Kids Track Championship is a state-wide track meet divided by gender and ages (ages 7 - 14 as of December 31, 2018).
The local track meet held in Marshalltown Wednesday, May 9, at 5 pm, at the MHS (Marshalltown High School) track. Check-in at 4:30 pm. Competition begins at 5:00 pm.
Pre-registration is requiredonline by May 8. If needed, a computer is available in Parks and Recreation office to assist pre-registration between 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. No on-site registration will be available.
A 50 meter and 100 meter Kids fun run is offered for youth under age 7! Other events include:
1,600 meter (age 13 to 14 only)
100, 200 and 400 meter
4 x 100 relay (must form your own team)
50 meter (age 7 to 8 and 9 to 10)
800 meter (ages 11 to 12 and 13 to 14)
softball throw and standing long jump for all ages
Participants are limited to entering 3 events. First place finishers in each local event automatically qualify for the state meet held in Marshalltown. Qualifiers who participant in the state meet must show record of birth by May 31 to participate in the state meet.

If you are not able to participate in the May 9 Marshalltown event, a meet outside the Marshalltown area may be found. At the Live Healthy Iowa Kids Track Championship website you may find alternate locations, dates and times of other are events throughout Iowa.
