The Support Services Division is comprised of a team of dedicated professionals who provide essential support for the everyday operation of the department. The major components of the division include investigations, crime scene, property and evidence, School Resource Officer, agency training, records section, parking enforcement, Marshalltown Police Citizen Volunteer program, Police Chaplains, grants, and internal affairs.

These are available on a walk-in basis. City of Marshalltown ordinance requires bicycles to be registered with the police department. These non-expiring licenses will be recorded in our records management system to assist with found bike incidents.
Our civilian parking enforcement officer enforces various parking laws, policies, rules, and regulations established by the City or the State of Iowa. Such duties include enforcement of fire lane, handicapped, three hour parking restrictions, and Scoff towing. Questions regarding parking, please call 641-844-1807.
The records section serves as the official repository for all criminal records and documents of the department. The records section is responsible for data entry, maintaining all police reports, arrest records and statistics. This section is also the point of contact for citizens and other agencies requesting records under Iowa’s open records laws. Records personnel provide quality customer service to all citizens and visitors seeking information or assistance.
